"PACIFIC. The balance of power in the Pacific rests with a handful of new, massive ships called aircraft carriers. America is desperate to decrease Japan's numerical advantage in carriers; the Japanese hope to knock America out of the war. In the Coral Sea, a curious development takes place: Each side has sighted the other's one unescorted carrier. The stage is set for the first carrier-only naval battle in history. America and Japan order every plane available into the air."

Oh, I see now. Presumably he got shot down and bailed out. I don't know why he's on that mountain, but there is a flak gun nearby people often use.

That's a common bug I forgot to mention. Sometimes a single arrow will appear on the radar where there isn't actually a player there. The arrow will face straight up and be perfectly still, so you know it's a bug.

@Battlefield315 you can drive the carrier! either climb on the tower of the carrier or get on a flak gun and press 1. i use the carrier to ram the other carrier.

I dont have this map on my version of Battlefield 1942 (Neither "Operation Aberdeen"). And i also can't find it on "Battlefield 1942: Road to Rome". Does someone know how to get these maps or where i can find them? Thank you!

i started with 1942 original. it was amazing. i got road to rome. even more amazing.

and secret weapons of world war 2 just sealed the deal for me. its such a fantastic game.
