BARBARA WALTERS: Tom Jarriel continues now with his investigation into the Church of Scientology. Is it a religion like other mainstream religions? Or is it, as critics charge, a secretive and destructive cult? We go back now to 1975. Scientology and its founder, L. Ron Hubbard, are already being investigated around the world. And after years of self-imposed exile aboard his ship the Apollo, Hubbard has decided to drop anchor in the United States.

TOM JARRIEL (on the shore of beach at Clearwater, FL): After wandering the seas for more than five years, Hubbard finally came ashore here, in the sleepy retirement town of Clearwater, Florida. His goal was to establish an international mecca for Scientology. But according to many insiders, Hubbard was growing more and more vindictive toward those who stood in his way. He created what he called "The Rehabilitation Project Force."

All starts with free Personality Test and the inexpensive Dianetic booklet. Scientology entice you with promises of solutions for common problems in life. Later you're compelled to pay higher and higher so more can be revealed. As you go, Scientology discretely start the lay down of its agenda for you. Your brainwashing has began. If you have no money they'll offer you a slave job. You'll work for life for SCN in exchange of courses. If you still have money they'll suck up until you're broke.

You should know better than to conflate Nazis and Fascists with Liberals, who are polar opposites, but then again maybe you believe the crap that Jonah Goldberg and Faux Noise are selling. You probably also think Obama's a Socialist.

You should wise up and see that it is not the Liberals, but your Republicans who are the criminals, the liars, the Nazis and the Fascists. You might also realize that its the Republicrats who are using divide and conquer to keep the remaining 80% of us in chains.

People can believe whatever they want, but if they are coerced or threatened into those beliefs, as Scientology does by collecting ALL personal info on it's members to use at a later time, then the organized "religion" becomes a cult.

Perhaps you should learn about the practices of groups like Scientology before you rally to their defense?

Your Pseudo Intellectual Psycho Babble still does not trump a persons right to believe what they want without pretentious pinheads casting slurs or insults at them because of their religion.

It is obvious you are very vain and think of yourself as a great intellect. You come across as arrogant and foolish. A little dose of humility goes a great way.
