The Peel Session 06-03-1989 - My Finest Hour.
Peel's Radio 1 shows were notable for the regular 'Peel sessions', which usually consisted of four songs recorded by an artist live in the BBC's studios. The young band recorded only 3 songs for the show. For some reason Harriet did not finish the song.

  • Thanks for adding. It is nice to hear Harriet singing slightly lower. I guess the last part w/vocal solo was not written yet.

  • @Echdrum No, i do have a recording date before the peel session, I am thinking to upload that.

  • @Echdrum what do you mean?

  • @takadi little rougher yet absolutely delicious. the 1:50 mark is the incredibly everything I love about this band, her voice, and the guitar rhythms

  • @chrisedelic77 me too!

  • wish they would come out with some sort of box set or retrospective anthology. wish Harriet was my wife...

  • good stuff. slower tempo or not, a good song is a good song.

  • @Nigelxman1

It is a little rougher, but it does have that sort of 80's new wave synth sound to it

  • I usually love Peel sessions but this is disappointing.

  • Wow this is really slowed down compared to the original recording, which actually sounds faster than the original album version...

  • That voice, its hypnotic! even 20+ years later

  • this song just flows threw me like fresh air! great early video! x

  • This really sounds like it's slowed down. Maybe from a out of speed tape machine? Either way, thanks for the upload!

  • A somewhat clumpier versioin than the one on the album. Maybe I'm too used to the other one, but this one seems to struggle to get airborne, to use an aviation metaphor...

  • You are a godsend. Totally appreciate these awesome and extraordinarily RARE performances. Looking forward to more. Did you have anymore performances from 89' or even 88?
