In the tradition of my other videos, this is a short demo track made entirely with the Roland Jupiter 6. Reverb and a bit of delay added to some sounds otherwise no other effects. Drums are from the EMU ESI 4000 sampler.

  • Nice job, did you create your own patches? Do you have the patches up on a site anywhere? (I am in posession of the Jupiter 6, but am always seeking more inspiration.) thanks for sharing!

  • Sorry, I don't have the Jupiter 6 anymore or the patches I created for it at the time.

  • Did you all done with the Jupiter 6

okay the drums are sampled buty anything else is the jupiter 6 ?

If yes i gonna buy one :D

  • Yes, it's all Jupiter 6 and nothing else. :)

  • @JMPSynth Thanks i have 2 more questions:

When you cut choise between the jupiter 6 and the jupiter 8

what synth would you buy? can you make music like this with the jp 8 too ?

And my both question, can you sent me the track ? (if its possible in 320kb/s mp3 file)

  • The Jupiter 8 will be able to all create all of the sounds (and more). However, for a Jupiter 8, you're looking at more than twice the price of a Jupiter 6. Send me your email and I'll send the MP3 over. ;)

  • Good demo, nice images of the jp6, why cant roland build analog synths like this again instead of those crap digital workstations!!!!!!!

  • I used to wonder about that too until I realized, if Roland were to build the same exact machine today, it would have to retail for about $8000 if not more for Roland to turn a profit. Sheetmetal housings, solid aluminum caps, quality potentiometers and a quality keyset all cost major bucks nowadays. It's just not cost-feasible in today's cheap digital disposable world.

  • Access virus TI can replicate most analogue synths. It has moog filters too along with Roland juno chorus. Check it out... i bought one to replace my craving for REAL moogs, Jupiters, Prophets. Lovely machine! There is something magical about a "true" analogue synth too though. Nice demo!

  • Great tune,u still got the arrangement?

  • I want one now :(

  • @maccagrabme i agree, even the juno 60 sounds better, but the juno 60 sounds better than the andromeda - i have both, the jupiter 8 is best of all, juno 60 or jup 4 next (whatever your preference) the elka synthex sounds ALOT better than all of these, i would never sell mine, even for a million!

ja! Verstehst was ich mein?

  • @maccagrabme

i got A6 and JP8, and for this type of sounds id prefer jp6 or some other machine with CEM oscillators (like p5). A6 is too different, excells in other things. also, i much prefer envelopes on both jp8 and 6. muscial and snappier than A6.

is this doable on JP8? to an extent. u would get different sonic stamp , as JP8 is built with different hardware. and also no HP and BP sweeps used here. JP8 is LP only. but some of the general feel would remain.

    great theme JMP ;)
