@8secondBusa You can boost with a stick shift. A high rpm launch, although you do risk losing traction.

@85VWWesty - I love stick shift cars but having owned 3 Turbo Buicks (1986-1987) I am glad they weren't available with a stick. Keep in mind having an automatic tranny allows the turbo boost to stay at maximum set output whereas unless you speed-shifted each gear of a stick shift car, your boost falls slightly each time you lift to shift. In addition, having an automatic allows you to build boost while on the brake at the starting line. (This being in stock form without a two-step rev-limiter )
