kd peforms the song Anywhere But Here (from the film of the same name) and has a very brief word with Jay Leno.

Haven't found a precise air date but I believe it was shown in 1999.

  • I love k.d. I love this song but I haven't been able to find it anywhere so I can buy it :-(

  • @ElyMtz76

The song was released as a promo for the album and film but not commercially. You'll find the album soundtrack on amazon, ebay, other internet sites and maybe some shops. It is available.

You can find the promo single, at times, on ebay and record collecting sites.

  • Sorry, the link is not inserted - ballet called Mazurka Fogo, excerpts posted on the YouTube ...

  • @nikitozish

Luckily it was on the first clip I checked. The song is Hain't It Funny. The song was written and performed originally by Jane Siberry. kd did a cover version for her album Drag, which was released in 1997 I think.

You'll also find a clip of that ballet using kd's version in Pedro Almodóvar's film Talk To Her.

  • Always loved this song - fun interview, but I have to say Monica Lewinsky good grief !!

    Thanks Jools - nice treat.

  • @TheLangChannel

  • @ElyMtz76 I know I wish I could find this on itunes...

  • Move over Barbra, Sheena, Donna, Whitney, Mariah, Maureen, Shirley, Leslie, Liza...

  • Oh, thank you! Now look inside the movie ... but, you see, as it is wonderful - to detect the influence of Miss Lang's talent for another brilliant person - Pina Bausch, no doubt, was the wonder of ballet and I'm so glad this match ... and at the same time on a TV channel Culture suddenly began to show "Black and White Night" Orbison - with the backing vocals of the three girls at the beginning of their career ... it's a miracle!

  • Thanks for the new video... where you find them so much? And here's another question - what the theme is taken to accompany the Pina Bausch ballet performed by KD Lang, do you know?

  • I adore this song. And...of course her, as well. ;)
