This song is not one of Dolly Parton's best songs. Remember, this song was an original Gypsy Song that was sung and performed in Russian. It really doesn't sound appropriate in this country style. In fact, it takes the proper style away from the song, which Mary Hopkin keeps, even though she also sings this in English. I enjoy other songs that Dolly Parton recorded, but this one is not the one that shows her style.
