  • Always impeccably stylish! Beautiful feeling without going too far! Nothing was over the top for me. She is perfection!

  • Atenti a los pianissimi del 2:17 en adelante. ¡Reina!

While I'm stuck on the famous acoustic versions (yes, perhaps too much so!), this is very lovely, and worth returning to again and again. Thank you AE for sharing, and thank you Julien for posting!

  • @AulicExclusiva Very good singing, as always. Streich takes the aria at a reasonably sane tempo (unlike Sutherland) and refrains from too much ornamentation until the cadenza, which seems a little over the top. She also sings the beautiful middle section, which Galli-Curci also does (to perfection) in her electrical recording. I remember this recording when it was first issued: a lovely voice. Thanks, AE, for sharing, and thanks to Julien for posting.

  • Sung with the classic grace and chic Viennese elegance to which this great singer had the secret. Brava.
