  • @gokartdriver81 lolz, are u confused? the point of ATL is to keeps the turbo spooling after you depress the gas peddle! try doing this to an evo without ATL and it will prove that ur just a want to be know it all kinda guy! ; P

  • @maxgut010 Best advice - Test drive, I did..... Thought bought the sti till I drove both cars... no more sti!! At the end of the day, depends what/how you like to drive, but guaranteed the evo won't disappoint!!

  • So.. I'm in the market for an AWD sports sedan. I live in SLC, UT and there is plenty of snow and mountains here to need AWD. But i'm trying to decide between an Evo and an Sti. Of course the owner of a STI would say buy an STI and the owner of an Evo would say Evo.. But I really need some honest opinions between the two cars?

  • Misfiring system?

  • Popcorn.

  • whats up with all the people below me confusing Retarding ignition ALS with launch control.

  • @gokartdriver81 your half right. 2step is a way of launchcontrol BUT another way is Retarding ignition, where The bypass solenoid system is added w/ ignition retardation and fuel enrichment , typically ignition occurs at 35-45°. The late ignition makes little expansion of the gas in the cylinder so the pres and temp will still be very high when the exh valve opens. the higher exh pres and temp combined with the increased flow is enough to keep the turbo spinning high speed, reducing lag

  • @rimiko86

Misfire system? you Initial D noob.

  • @gokartdriver81 because he didn't hit keep it steady, rather he let go of the gas too soon!

  • @buddyclubs no actually your horribly wrong. anti-lag doesnt happen when your letting the rpms drop. ant-lag locks the rpms at a certain point when reving the car, not letting off. sorry to tell you but you dont know what your talking about. ask anyone who knows what a 2-step really is
