Using multiple sensor bars, the Wiimote can be provided with a much greater horizontal aiming range, allowing it to be used in a virtual reality theatre. I demonstrate an an example of use, by incorporating it into Half-Life 2.

  • @MechWarrior324 not really... assuming it recognizes different gestures (which it does), you can do way more things with your body than a controler

  • The videos over two years old, yet it still impressed the shit out of me. I think I'm ready to try virtual reality again. The last time was in the early 90s when vr seemed to be everywhere, but really wasn't any good.

  • AWSOME!

  • @rukieishere Project Natal (or Kinect) looks prety good, but you can't do that many things without a controller.

  • It's amazing how much the Wii and Half Life 2 are similar. They allow for so much innovation by modders. The only difference is Valve supports modders, while Nintendo does not, and Valve profits from this. Case and point: Garry's Mod.

  • yes, project natal, but it doesn´t use any controllers and that sucks!
