I was 9 years old in 'early 78. A year before Mum died. She'd pack the two dogs into the back of the EH Holden wagon at 9pm when it was still too hot to breathe, and we'd cruise down the beach with the tailgate up, and stay til midnight.
I can remember this song from back then, along with Dr Hook, Donna Summer, ELO, and Roberta Flack & Donny Hathaway (her faves).
