This pellet was fired from a Remington Vantage at a range of about 15 to 20 yards. I was unable to find any entry wound, but the suspected point of impact would be between the head and upper chest. Wound channel ended mid thigh in the right leg. So a good 4-5 inches of penetration at ~880 FPS.

I'll probably catch some comments on a proper kill (I know, it's better to shoot them from the side, through the head) but it should noted that he died where he was shot. 10 seconds for him to stop twitching. This was a clean kill.

Noted:
slight overall compression
slightly collapsed skirt (possibly from knife blade)
some striation likely from bones
Good penetration, but would like a bit of expansion.
LOTS of blood in the chest cavity, but don't know if that's typical or not, this is my first squirrel.
Squirrel tastes good!
