I always thought this would be a great idea. I like that the Kindle is the has the best readability and battery life (+40hrs) to any eReader out there. sure the sony one has a black light but it makes the screen fuzzier and harder to read and do you really want to be zooming your fuzzy screen in and out on short final?
The sony has FAR better PDF support, and the PRS-700 has a 2 level backlight. It does have a smaller screen, but the zoom works pretty amazingly, and it has a touch screen.
I agree. Kindle is nice but it has many restrictions. DRM and stuff...
