An early recording by the Stranglers' Dave Greenfield made in late Autumn, 1973. The band was called Rusty Butler and this was made at Saturn Studios in Worthing, Sussex, England.
The line-up was: Tony Savva (Vocals), Dave Greenfield (Keyboards/Backing Vocals), Eddie Renouf (Lead Guitar/Backing Vocals), Dave Poxon (Bass Guitar), Colin Norton (Drums).
The song was written by David Poxon.

The Marquee photos are from 6th November 1973, when Rusty Butler supported Darryl Way's Wolf, who used to be in Curved Air.

FANTASTIC SONG!. DID THEY EVER RELEASE AN ALBUM?. I AGREE IT WOULD MAKE A GREAT STRANGLERS SONG WITH A FEW TWEEKS. THIS TUNE STAYS IN YOUR MIND FOR AGES AFTER YOU LISTEN TO IT. HOPE TO HEAR MORE ASAP.

Thanks for all of the great comments! To answer Dublems question: No, they never did release an album (maybe it's not too late :-) )
