Followed by Clay County deputy for approx 7 miles!

I was shooting video of a Clay County Deputy running radar and issuing speeding tickets in Green Cove Springs Florida for a video I'm working on.When I decided it was time to go the deputy decided to follow!He followed me from 16 out at Reynolds Industrial Park,through Green Cove,all the way out to the Black Creek boat ramp.(approx 7 miles)
This Deputy was very polite and was aware of the rights of citizens to shoot video.But why did he follow me for so long if he knew (as he said) that I was breaking no laws?
Running my tag,checking for warrants,curiosity....perhaps?
But again I am pleased he knew that photography is not a crime,and he was very polite and professional.

So, your problem is with speed limits and their enforcement then? I would think by your ID that your problem is with officers and the Constitution they swear to uphold. Do you think that States and Municipalities do not have a right to set speed limits: or is the enforcement of those limits your issue? I'm confused???

@5Ring Hey 5Ring,sorry for the delayed response.No I don't have a problem with speed limits or speed enforcement,unless they are flat out speed traps like the Hampton police. States and municipalities have a public safety obligation to set safe speed limits and enforce them. So If I do a video filming LEO's enforcing speed limits and put it on YOUTUBE and a few thousand people see the video resulting in them slowing down through those areas to avoid being ticketed,have I not added to

Don't get me wrong, I am a Constitutional Conservative and a Ron Paul supporter My point was only that the deputy was not outside his authority in this stop, further; he had the right to detain you under the concept of reasonable suspicion, as I posted earlier. Just remember, most cops in N/E Florida are Republican, Conservative, and ardent supporters of the Constitution. This isn't Chicago or NY. Stop looking for enemies where they do not exist. There are plenty of real ones out there.

Having family memebers in law enforcement and a few friends as well, i can tell they're not as honorable as you're making them out to be. He was fucking with you because you filmed him. He's one of the a'holes.

The issue of public safety is important. However, popping out from behind dumpsters, or as I witnessed yesterday in Virginia, jumping out in front of cars to pull them over, is plain stupid. They cause more of a hazard than the prevent. I support cops being in plain sight and if you pass them than you're speeding and not paying attention. For that a ticket should easily be issued.
