  • Rod is such a great leader and guy. What a terrific team. We love em.

  • Yes, well that's the Leafs, millions of fans who jump on the bandwagon and act like they really care about their team. Canes fans are real... 30,000 canes fans are better than any number of Leafs fans...

  • GO CANES! Brindy, you're the man!

  • @GoPensGo377 It wasn't downtown, it was in the middle of a weekday, and it was about 100 degrees.

They had another event downtown on the grounds of the capital and easily 40,000 more came out.

People don;'t understand how spread out this place is. Its not like Pittsburgh. It's more like about 6 cities that have all kind of grown together.

  • wince when is it roddie haha its brindy!!!!!

  • Well, we don't have to get snippy :) I was thrilled when the Canes won - I love Rod (don't tell my husband). I thought the situation in Charlotte was funny - all those excited fans in the stadium, and all the people who didn't even know the final game was being held going about their business on the outside.

I'm only that saying that IF Toronto ever wins in my lifetime again it really will shut down the city. Honestly, we really aren't a hockey town, but we are definitely a Leaf's town!

  • not many people showed up. I remember watching TSN and they were like, ouch the attendance wasnt that high. Almost 400,000 were at the one in pittsburgh

  • Only 30,000 showed up? If the Leafs ever win (could happen, someday) they'll have to shut down Toronto!

  • haha , rod said the exact same speach word for word at his hometown when he brought it to CR
