  • STOP ADRESSING ILLEGALS OBAMA!

  • Whoops sorry, it's also a main mantra around here that, "America means the United States, who cares about the rest of the two continents." Which is probably something else we need to work on :)

  • I live in America, and I don't live in the United States. I speak portuguese, and I was born in Brazil, and I am an American

  • hehe, read my comment

  • Empiore?

  • Hi. Congratulations for showing interest about Spanish in the Public Education in your conutry. Here in South America teaching programs offer always English as second language, but you never get an acceptable level unless you paid for it in an private institution, you can see it in my comment. I think that learn two or more languages brings you more chances to get higher in life. Bye and take care

  • You're 100% right. This comercial is made for those hispanic people who live in the USA.

  • Now, all this being said, it varies indefinitely around the country, and some districts probably have very good language programs. I have a friend in Nashville who is actually able to get French outside of school. The main mantra around here though is "We're in America, we'll speak English and nothing else." :(

  • However, it's extremely difficult to fit these four different classes into your schedule if you do anything extra curricular like orchestra, band, choir, drama, sports, etc. If I wanted to take orchestra and Spanish 1 and 2 (you have to take them consecutively), that would be all my extra-curricular classes for the year. So, it sucks for me if I also wanted to play a sport, take drama, be on newspaper, etc. Continued...
