@mkkiani in touch as people as yourself seem very rare. I thought I was the only one who still listened to tapes beside my brother. You're so right, they were very happy innocent times where people appreciated what they had saved for. Nowadays phones are obsolete in 3 months. I still use my original cell phone from 1996. It works perfectly and has done so from day 1. I haven't found a good reason to ditch it. It was one of the first Motorola digital models. Cheers and again many thanks.

@mkkiani thanks for your contribution. Yes, I love the old stuff. I had a tape player (brand-new, old stock) put in my new car. The cd player was hopeless, it jumped all te time. I still have my old beatles records that I bought with saved-up pocket money. Yes, records are fantastic. I love watching the turntable wondering how such beautiful sound can come from something so simple. The Walkman was a superb invention. I pick them up at garage sales and op shops from time-to-time. Please keep

I still got a few of those yellow Sony sports ones from the 90s. RIP :(
I still use mine. I love tapes, can't find it in my heart to throw them all away. They were a great invention especially on boring train trips into work for five years. I don't know what I'll do when mine finally gives up the ghost.

@chimetrooper Hi, you sound like a nostalgic person like me. When I listen to an LP on the record player and enjoy the crackles as they add to the effect, or the cassette with its unavoidable hiss, of course the memories of your first record player or tape recorder will flood back. And who doesn't fondly fall for those days of youth and the lure of new tech, as it was. Freedom to listen to music ANYWHERE & with friends was a joy!
