Imagine relying on a rickety wooden bridge as your primary path for transportation. You send your kids to school everyday, knowing they have to walk across it. For decades, this was the situation for more than 2,000 residents in San Jose El Naranjo
In 2008, the Nueva Jerusalen Church along with community leaders of San José El Narranjo and surrounding hamlets decided to take action. ENLACE helped the church and community to connect to their mayor's office and seek funding for the bridge through FISDL, a granting arm of the national government, as well as through churches in the Unites States such as Orange County First Assembly of God.
Along with a new bridge, a new trust has been built that will help secure the path to a better future for San Jose El Naranjo
