I have never been a fan of the Prince of Persia series, but i did enjoy the story and characters to this game. I hated the repetitive gameplay, but I can forgive Ubisoft is they follow through and make a sequel.

This was actually a good ending.
"There is no life, without you who gave me life."
This is the answer to the question, "What is one grain of sand in the desert? What is one grain of sand in the storm?"

know the meaning of the ending its about how much you care for some one and what you will give for it. i liked the ending XD

I just finished this an hour ago and was cursing at the TV screen. Fucking idiotic ending. You spend the whole game learning about how duty is really important to Elika, and that she would give her life to keep Ahriman trapped. And the Prince goes ahead and lets him out anyways. Did he not learn anything??? If he had, he would have respected her decision and just left.
Oh.. and the 24 lands you arduously healed have fallen BACK into enemy hands! Yay!
This DEMANDS a sequal.

The ending is perfectly fitting for Prince of Persia - all the previous PoP has featured a greatly egoistic Prince that will do whatever he can to "amend the situation" to improve his standing. I expected nothing less that he would free the god of darkness to get Elika back - and its probably the same as her father did. Would you rather have a mushy ending with Prince, Elika and the donkey?
Anyways, there is a small expansion afaik, that offers new levels and a "good" ending.
