at :17 the woman says "we have chairs, TV, DVD player, everything we need" . This is part of the problem. People still can't distinguish between wants and needs.
What she needs to do is turn the TV off, get off the chair, pick up some of the trash lying around, and organize a work party to scratch even a little bit of garden.
She's been there eight months. Plenty of time to have harvested lots of food.
So many of the "needy" smoke, drink alchohol, and come up with new tattos. Wake up!

@drmanyuka It's not the richest country. And yes it's a stupid economy. This is what you get if you vote for hardcore capitalism. The rich decide what the poor get. In this case, they get nothing. And in every other case also. This is plutocracy. Pure capitalism leads to plutocracy. And the media is still screaming about communism when people want solidarity with the poor. Just don't ever vote for republicans because they are criminals. Even if the democrats are a poor alernative.
