The video simulates the explosion inside a box. The explosion is intiated by providing a large initial pressure jump (high pressure in a small circular region in the middle of the domain and lower pressure elsewhere). This shock wave moves with time and to resolve the shock crisply it is necessary to "adapt" these shock locations. A simple unsteady predictive-adaptive strategy is utilised to predict the shock location at different times, resulting in a dynamic adaptive simulation of the explosion
