Had an Israli demo this little thing on me. It doesn't look like much but when used by a trained person it is very painful and very effective.

I wonder how much these are. I recently bought some "ninja knuckle dusters" from an Army surplus store that have essentially the same design: two metal spikes that protrude between the knuckles and a third blunted spike for arm locks, etc. Mine cost five US dollars. These look marketed, like they're making some money off them.

I don't see the point in this kind of 'self defence' for those who aren't strong physically - you still need to be able to punch someone hard for the points to even be of any use. You would be both more threatening and less awkward using a small pocket knife/swiss army knife which if small enough are legal to carry. Still, a small can of pepper spray or a really loud high pitched alarm are more likely to stop you being mugged/assaulted than this or a small knife
