This glass terrarium (60x50x60 cm) is the home of one adult phelsuma laticauda female.
the soil is made of peat. The plants are Dracaena surculosa, Ficus pumila "variegata", Sansevieiria trifasciata, Pilea involucrata, Pilea nummulariifolia, Scindapsus pictus, Rhoeo discolor, x Epicactus and dry Phyllostachys aurea stems.
The light sources are a 15W standard fluorescent bulb and a 5.0 UV tube. there is a small heating mat under the soil in one corner.
Note the hermit crab and its food dish on the soil. It sometimes climbs in the branches, buts causes no threat to the lizard.

  • Awesome setup! That lightbulb is kinda scaring me tho...ur gold dusty could easily hop onto it and get burned. U should put a little wire-mesh cage around it so ur gecko can get the heat and light without risking burns and serious skin damage. But u got the rainforest look right on! =]

  • no way that is a 60x50x60 terrarium dude, that looks like it could be a 80x60x80 from the ridiculous (in a good way) amount of plants & bamboo you got in there :D

    really nice terrarium anyway

  • wow, really like that. the vines are the bottom (look like creeping fig) really give that rainforesty feel. and the bamboo is a great touch, cuting the holes in there, day geckos lov to hide in those and lay eggs in there. GJ. hopeing next time for a cage view with a day gecko showing to ;).
