The BBC make out that the Lisbon treaty is now very popular, and that really all Irish who have a vote would be stupid to vote against the creation of the EUSSR. Brussels is just Moscow version 2.

If you value freedom and democracy, do NOT vote for the Lisbon treaty, as they will remove the last remaining powers of Europe's countries, and will threat the single entity of Europe - Europeans will be governed by Brussels, version 2 of Moscow and the USSR.

Ask yourself why the RICH and POLITICIANS want to push this through... so they become even richer and powerful, at YOUR expense. Vote NO to the Lisbon treaty, show Brussels YOU are the boss, not some unelected and unelectable b@stard in Brussels.

Recorded from BBC 1pm News, 29 September 2009.

  • What would Ireland look like today without all the money they have received from the EU?

  • That's not the same argument. What would the UK look like if it didn't contribute a sh1t load of money to the French farmers via CAP?

What is at stake is not money, but freedom and democracy. The Lisbon treaty is self amending. That means once it's voted in, there are no need for any more votes, because the politicians can do what they like (more than they do now).

  • Apart from blood money, what do the Irish get for the possibility of voting for the EUSSR?

Vote NO and send a clear message to the Communists in Brussels, we don't want Brussels to be a Moscow version 2.

Europe (EU) HATES freedom, and HATES democracy,

  • Being of Irish descent, this Friday seems like it will be the day I will be most ashamed to have Irish blood. All the people in this video are concerned with the economy. My question is can you put a price tag on freedom?

  • Ireland had a nice run as an independent country (almost 100 years) but its time has come and it's about to be swallowed up by the European superstate and never heard from again.

  • @fuhrerschein2008 Given that money is debt, it would probably be in much better shape than it is now.

  • ireland is a samll country compared to the rest of europe, wed have hardly any say in the parliment, i dont people in a foreign country controlling our country, i want our country independent and running itself by its own people. the people who will be affected by the laws pass, the e.u just wants to re-unite europe, like the roman empire, like the soviet union. like the third reich,

  • the bbc is basically against everything that is good

  • Damn straight man. Just voted NO and my heart is in my mouth. There was a lot of disinfo re the Gael poll that called 54% NO vote the first time round and nailed it within .5%. Apparently this time it called a 58% NO vote, it was referenced in The Irish Times but a lot of net chat is saying it's a hoax. This is more intense than watching Packie Bonner stopping Timofte in 1990.

  • There are very good reasons to vote yes.

(It is more than a treaty. This treaty would help bring Europe closer together - albeit because of the media we have.) There are other forces at work. If Ireland isn't lead by the EU, it could end up being owned by other interests. 'No' would mean a 2 speed Europe.

There are very good reasons to vote no.

    (It would be more sovereign)

  • But you have to acknowledge that without all the money from the EU, the Irish economy wouldn't be anywhere near where it is today.

Of course it is your right to vote no anyway, and I do think that the Irish ought to be praised for letting their people decide. No matter what one thinks about it, the consequences it has for the people of the member states are too great to have the will of the people entirely ignored.

I really am curious how the Irish people will decide.

  • If this treaty fails because the Irish vote no, a new treaty will come, and this time Ireland will be excluded. Ireland would only be a second-class-member. Especially for the trade and the economy this would cause grave damage.

Also, from what you can read in the papers, the right-wing people advertising an Irish no often give false information about the treaty (abortion, gay marriage); yet I don't want to deny that the deficits in terms of democracy of the treaty are problematic.

  • Since the advent of the euro, the ECB has created an issuance of debt called the euro. This is created out of thin air with nothing backing it, yet it has to be repaid in full with interest requiring a portion of our productive capacity and higher taxes on us in order to service the debt. They gave us back a sliver of OUR OWN MONEY. So now you know, without europe we could still own our oil, our waters to fish, mineral resources & we could create our own currency backed by gold.

    I'm Voting NO
