Richard Harris tells the story of the Book Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach
To the real Jonathan Seagull, who lives within us all.
This is my very first attempt at creating a video from a very rare vinyl recording made in 1970 something. First I copied this uplifting and extraordinary recording from an LP to a cassette tape, found that after years of it being hidden, then converted it a cd, then started the process of converting that to a video, but I think the picture has not worked.
Part 2 On it's way. Maybe I should have cut this into 4 parts, as the quality is lost, which took me days to more or less perfect, but I just can't manage that right now.
Anyway enjoy, it's heaven, or as JLS says Heaven is being Perfect. Don't forget Part 2

  • Thank you for presenting this wonderful, "lost" recording! The story is truly a great literary, and philosophical, gem!

  • @danielodum I totally agree with you, thanks for your kind comments Merry Christmas and a wonderful New year :)

  • I bought the vinyl when it first came out 1972 or 1973. I did find a downloaded version of it over a year ago - but I think it's been taken down.

This is such a simple way to explain reincarnation and karmic lessons. And yes, Harris' voice is so beautiful he was a beauitiful man. His "There are no Saviours on My Cross" is very powerful and profound.I was fortunate to meet him in 1972 - such a warm person. He is so missed.

  • @LadyMoondancer I can only find "There are Too many saviours on my cross by Richard Harris. This is on youtube.

  • @danielodum / thank you-whole hearted-ly for sharing this.

  • @LadyMoondancer I rather like anything (most things if they are good against evil) to do with Wizardry and Magic, maybe because of the dreams I had when I young that I could fly. Maybe that's why I enjoy "Merlin" currently running as a TV series in UK and Potter as he has extraordinary powers. I will try to send you the link in a msg to Richard Harris as Dumbledor.

I didn't see him in Harry Potter. I don't know, I just can't get into Harry Potter. My favorite is him as King Arthur in Camelot. I got to see him twice in that role in 1982 and 1986 when the tour came to Buffalo. I have the DVD of the 1967 movie and the DVD of a filming of the 1982 production that was aired on HBO. About a year ago, I was scouring youtube and the internet for Richard Harris vids/mp3s to replace the cassette recordings I did of his albums.

  • @LadyMoondancer Indeed LMD. His voice was was enchanting, exceptionally powerful and leaving you wanting to hear more. I particularly liked his portrayal as Dumbledore in Harry Potter, and many other films. Apparently he died of Hodgkin's Lymphoma on 25 October 2002 (aged 72) London, England, UK. I will check out There are No Saviours on my Cross. You were very lucky to have met the man himself. Very much missed. Thank you for your contribution.

  • @tsettimo Me too, I bought and read the 1st edition of the book, and it's falling apart all sellotaped up, would never buy another copy. I have the cd I made next to my bed and another copy in the lounge, the 1st time ever tried to make a video in this way,not much good with the pics but while I was converting this it began to drive me away, as I had SO much trouble with the 7 day free trial I manged to get. They offered me another week, but I declined. A brain can only take so much. :)

  • @ovliquevideo The very BEST. I loved that man Such a voice and he was wonderful in Harry Potter's films too. Such soul. :)
