We lived in Quebec north of Montreal. Every summer camping trip my folks took me on to Lake George a Ramblin Root beer fix was mandatory. No root beer since has come close to how good the Ramblin was.
This was the best root beer I had in my entire life. Today its Dads or Teddys, but Ramblin was the best no question. Hires I put 2nd and thats gone as well.. Fanta I haven't had but since its not around, it probably was up there. The truly good root beers die young I notice. A&W and Bargs are both not so good.
Can't believe this is out there. I was in this commercial and never saw it on TV, but cashed every check that came in the mail! It was filmed at College of the Canyons in Valencia CA.
Yeah Ramblin' Root Beer was awesome! It really was somthing more! I drank so much of this stuff back in the day I'm surprised I don't have diabetes, LOL. And it WAS available in New England. I'm from Boston and you could get it in any store there. I used to get my Ramblin fix at the 7 11 up the street from my house, LOL. I also used to see these commercials on TV all the time. They had radio ones too. It sucks they don't make Ramblin' anymore. One of the things that made the 80s awesome!
Ramblin' was not rare at all, it was sold along with other Coke products like that horrible "root beer" Barf's that they have today. Ramblin' was head and shoulder's above that crap. Do not drink it, make it go away.

The Bridge with the people on it is the Verrazzano-Narrow Bridge. The backdrop is Staten Island, New York.

If I remember correctly, the Jack In the Box franchises in California carried Ramblin in their soda fountains.
