La Banda del Surdo is a company of percussion and stilt walkers working in the areas of percussion and street shows. It works from the city of Girona (Catalonia Spain).

The groups origins can be traced back to the percussion band which brought its rhythms to the fire cracking [correfocs] of Els Diables de lOnyar. In 1996 the percussionists adopted the name La Banda del Surdo and began their life as a company.

La Banda del Surdo has participated with great success in the principal festivals of music and street theatre in Catalonia and Spain, and it has international experience with performances in France, Italy, Belgium, United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Russia and Norway. It is also frequently collaborating in productions with other companies, among which Cirque du Soleil, Comediants, La Fura dels Baus and Studio Festi are of renown.
