This is a part of my interview with legendary gay activist David Mixner, who broke with his friend Bill Clinton over "don't ask, don't tell" and who was a supporter of Barack Obama but has been very critical of Obama on LGBT issues in recent months.
We talked about a lot of issues, including Proposition 8. David is of the mind that the people who want to wait to take Prop 8 back to the ballot are among those in the movement he calls the "Oh Lord, Not Now" movement. He says the time is now, and explains why.
Michelangelo , I love your show, but PLEASE adjust the camera!!! Half the time you are not in the frame!

2010 all the way! I'll never give up...... and if we lose, I'll do it again, and again, and again...until we have our rights. Mixner is right.

I'm older as well (47) and I'm way past impatient for equal rights, but that has nothing to do with the debate over how to strike. It's already Aug and we're still discussing ballot language. I admire Mixner, but this is not the same battle as the Brigg's Initiative. We lost by 600,000 votes, which no one ever says, they just say 4% because it's not scary. 600,000 is scary. Clearly, we aren't being convincing, so maybe we should slow down and think.

Mixner is totally right. The older I get, the less patient I'm becoming for change and the less tolerance I have for all those political insiders who think they know what's best. Marriage quality NOW, not later!!!!

I agree with Mr.Mixner that we cannot wait we have to put continuous pressure for full equality or it will lose it's momentum. We certianly can't reliay on our "fierce advocate "the Pres. to do it,since he's so busy giving out things to keeo us happy but not "changing"nothing
