Canton man named Detroit area Goodwill "Shopper of the Year"

Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit recognized Bill Fedak of Canton as the organization's 2011 "Shopper of the Year." Fedak, who owns Studio 1 Salon in Canton, shops frequently at the Goodwill flagship upscale resale store at 41937 Ford Rd. in Canton. He notes the best deal he's found at the store was a nearly new solid cherry entertainment center for just $180. He also has purchased a variety of items to decorate his daughter's room.
The store will celebrate its first anniversary in December 2011. The organization is in the process of establishing a second upscale resale store in Dearborn, Mich. for 2012.
All store proceeds support Goodwill's mission as the only organization solely dedicated to helping Metro Detroit residents overcome employment challenges and earn jobs.
