Burgeoning comedy legend Louis CK speaks about George Carlin and the momentous inspiration the late comedic icon had on his career. Taken from a tribute to George Carlin at the New York Public Library hosted by Whoopi Goldberg in March 2010, Louis CK becomes emotional describing the specific events and methods of building new material that gave his comedy new direction and fueled his success. I relate to and understand your compassion Louis. I am glad for you. Glad that experienced George Carlin. I am also glad you carry on.

Watch all of George's comedy and you'll find his stranger side, intellectually superior deity.

IMO Louis CK is the number one comic out there....probably has been for the last five years. Chapelle and Stanhope round out my top three. Nice piece he did on George Carlin by the way.

Greg Giraldo is soooo underrated. I wish more people had heard about him. His roasts were incendiary.

Louis CK is amazing. Probably the best comedian around now. He's the best Comedian since we lost George, Richard and maybe not so well known but Greg Giraldo was another hero on my list of comedic genius.

I know Louis kept apologizing for not closing funny and what not, but I don't think he could have done it any better than that. He was being real and genuine. His eyes got red and his voice was just shaking terribly. That body language alone spoke more words to me than an act ever could. Good job Louis and RIP George.
