Deep fryed turkey done in a commercial deep fryer. The turkey was a heritage breed known as the Bourbon Red 8.5 lbs.

  • It is not ridiculous. I originally thought so too but when i was in China an American friend there cooked a turkey this way and it came out perfect. Remember cooking is just adding energy to raw ingredients -there is not often a right or wrong way to do it. We even made roast chicken and plum puddings in a pizza oven in Shenzhen and they came out fantastic (probably because we had to keep an eye on them).
