This is the BMW K 1600 GT 6-cylinder. BMW also had a cutaway 6-cylinder engine on a display stand right next to the bike, so the final part of the video shows the engine.
@artsbest1 It's hard to tell how big they are, I haven't ridden one but they look to me to be smaller than the K1200LT but larger than the R1200RT. The K1600GT looks much smaller to me than it should be for a bike with 6 cylinders, that's for sure!
I very much wanted to see the 1600 GT (w/o those dumbo ear bags) but it looks like I'm going to have to wait until I see them in Munich in May. The IMS show here in IL will NOT have a BMW booth. What's with that??? Anway, how big are these bikes and are they more sportier or more cruise-like in appearance in your opinion? The GT appears to be more of a sports bike than its sister??? Thanks for the video. It is much appreciated.
Good catch! That's the motorcycle version of the BMW iDrive, it selects the modes for traction control and I believe also the BMW electronic suspension adjustment (ESA II) and some of the other functions on the GPS/radio/Bluetooth/USB-MP3-iPod system.

Actually, it is a new type of control that works not only the radio but some of the other settings, like ESA and traction control modes.

@jillybooty That ring will most likely be the controls for the radio. at least thats how it is on the current RT models.
