Mine is being stupid too. The sync feature is a gimmick. It will not work. I get an echo every time.

ya might make sense if you didnt fail at posting audio to your video

Exact same issue here, not a very robust feature... works sometimes but not always. Pluraleyes works every time on the other hand.

sample rate issue maybe? one in 44.1 and one in 48 khz?

@ubaldesign Ditto for me, although with two cameras. :(

I tried it too with multiple video clips (all on chronological order, one camera, no overlap) on one audio clip, it just threw back at me a bunch of randomly overlapping clips.

It works everytime for everyone else I know. Literally 100% of the time.

@RealtyStudioHD 100% except for every for 5 of the 7 commenters here and the example video that you found. I'm not saying it doesn't work, I'm just saying pluraleyes did that exact situation no problem. I have had FCP-X sync audio, but I've seen it fail miserably. I'm not just editing talking heads. There you may be uses outside of what you use it for that might be too complicated for it. Something to consider since you said it works 100% of the time when it didn't in this example.
