after he popped up on naruto while he was laying down and didn't snatch him up while he was supposedly collecting jinchuuriki but instead told him about the differences between naruto and sasuke and their fated pasts, i stopped thinking of him as a direct threat to naruto but a person pushing him towards something. you can tell he's doing that with sasuke, easily.
