Lori Hoye, after her husband was taken into custody for the 'heinous' crime of passing out leaflets in front of an abortion clinic in Oakland, CA, airs her grievances with the Judge, the Oakland City Council and Religious Leaders.

  • GOD is good.

If they are so ralical against judicial tyranny and appalled at Hoye being imprisoned for standing on the public property and distributing literature, why doesn't the group go to the abortion clinic and hold their signs? If they are NOT in front of the SAME abortion clinic, I AM NOT IMPRESSED. GOD doesn't love these wicked women. They are wicked baby killing whores and need to repent in JESUS' name. JESUS said the love of GOD is NOT in them. Read John 5:42. The judge is corrupt.

  • They went to the clinic last Tuesday at 8AM and saved a life. Where were you?

  • If we are permitted to decide when a human life is valid enough to deserve life, when will it be permissable to murder one another or kill off the elderly? Murder is murder and only God has the right to take life as He is the one who gives it. Woe to this nation. It will be responsible for the blood it has shed in the name of convenience.

  • So does it follow, "if you don't like animal abuse, don't abuse your animals"? Or "if you don't want whales killed, don't kill a whale"? or "If you don't like the effects of DDT on birds, don't use DDT in your garden"? What we allow others to do has an effect on us as a society. Do we stand in defense of the innocent and the helpless, or do we stand by and allow these abuses to continue. I, for one, choose to stand up and strive to end injustice in the world.

  • JTubeBx1, have you seen Walter and what he does at the clinic in Oakland? The excuse of this "gauntlet" may have been given, but this bubble law in Oakland was specifically to stop his effective peaceful, loving approach.

  • It really doesn't have anything to do with "free speech." These "bubble laws" were created for a reason and the reason is bad behavior of antis at the clinics. This includes things like trying to block women as they enter the clinic and even spitting on them. The women often have to run a gauntlet of screaming misogynists. Forget "Jesus loves U." What they often yell at these women is truly vile.

  • I'm not sure with that level of analysis you'll follow this but I think to analogize your statement, you would believe:

"If you don't like someone else utilizing free speech, then you just shouldn't speak freely." Is that the basic message? If you don't like something happening then you yourself shouldn't do it?

But unfortunately the legal system in Oakland has a dumber concept: "If you don't like someone else utilizing free speech, just put them in jail."

  • He was exercising his first amendment rights.......where is the ACLU now? It seems our constitutional rights are only upheld if our agenda is liberal. Abortion is a population control mechanism it is murder of the innocent while liberals fight for the rights of criminals.

  • If you don't like abortion: Don't have an abortion!

  • I know, this is so stupid, they put someone in jail for a fake crime with no bail andlet killers go free.
