http://KnowBe4.com - It's October, which means it's also National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM).

The NCSAM campaign is intended to help spread awareness of the importance of good Web browsing practices. Cyber security is a shared responsibility, and the most important weapon we have to fight a growing number of phishing scams and malicious software floating around cyberspace is education.

Our sponsors at http://KnowBe4.com have been taking an active role in educating users about threats as they are found in the wild. They provide training to businesses and keep users updated on the latest news in cyber security.

I don't think stupid people should be helped with this stuff, 90% of them are stupid because they are lazy or they just don't care and that alone is a crime of evolution. People should be curious and they have to want to be smart, if you choose to be stupid then you should be scammed and fouled.

ANY time an official online store you've dealt with sends you an e-mail, asking for vital and/or secret information, always contact the store DIRECTLY and ask them to verify this e-mail/the appropriate way to contact them for specific kinds of information transfer.

Even then, consider if that what is being asked of you is reasonable.

A good tip I would have for everyone is to NEVER surf the Internet without a firewall. If you go without one, believe it or not, your security could be compromised.

never keep all your money in once spot, shear it between different places (banks, wallets, pockets, ex). This way you cant lose it all at once. That's my tip.
