Coffee Table March 2012

I tiled an old coffee table from the 1960's my grandmother gave me in 1992, a few years before she passed away. I attempted to paint it with Fleck-Stone back in the day (ugh) then covered it with foam/fabric in the mid-90's. Love the fabric, wasn't keen on the foam. Decided it was a perfect palette for glass mosaic tile. I think I spent around $60 for tile and supplies. I also gave the wood/veneer and legs 2 coats of semi-gloss polyurethane.

Hi there, I tried to respond via iPad on Friday but that just didn't "take." I used an adhesive and grout that I bought at Lowes - a "just add water" deal and it worked really well. I was lucky in that my dimensions required no tile scoring or breaking, but that's the great thing about the small scale of the glass mosaic tile: you can cut the mesh with scissors! I have actually moved into a house I bought and am using this as my coffee table now. I love it too much to keep it hidden!

Great stuff ... I love Youtube. I was thinking of doing something to my coffee table and though of tile or rocks but was not sure what kind of adhesive. What did you use, I saw the pic of the materials, Love the wine glass, lol. I could not read what you used was it tile grount? Thanks, Dawn :)
