South Loop auctions reset market prices

I met up with Garry Benson at the Motor Row Lofts auction earlier today.

Garry's the founder of of Garrison Partners, one of the nation's most experienced real estate consulting and marketing firms and one of the most knowledgeable observers of the real estate scene you can find.

We touched briefly on a number of subjects, including the role of auctions in resetting market prices in an area, and the prospects for a near-term recovery in Chicago's downtown real estate market.
