Professor Wendy Savage and Professor Graham Scambler will outline how the NHS currently works, what the proposed reforms are, their potential effects and the political motives behind such changes.
Graham Scambler is a professor of medical sociology at UCL. His research is attributed to a number of topics, including health and equalities, has written a number of books including 'Health and Social Change' and 'Sociology as Applied to Medicine'. He is also a founding researcher of a sociological journal.
Professor Wendy Savage is an obstetrician and gynaecologist. She has a lifetime of contributions and achievements in women-centred care and is elected on a number of boards. Since 2008 she has been running 'Keep Our NHS Public'.
Interesting history lesson. Not so sure the NHS was a unified front, having heard many Conservative arguments against it from the 40s and 50s despite Churchill being for it he's not the whole party.
