Jason is wrong about Johnny Depp's performance being the reason POTC made a ton of money at the box office. His performance is the reason POTC is a better film than it otherwise would be. I understand why Mark thinks his performance was terrible and most of the time he's right in using the "undirected man" argument. However, I disagree with him completely in this instance. Depp performs better when he's given free reign in a role. He and Rush were the only reasons I went to see the fourth film.

Wow, I always liked Jason Isaacs, and now that I know how pleasant and intelligent he is, I totally adore him!!!
