It's not just the US going green, the whole world needs to do so. One thing is for sure, is that the energy in wind is practically free. Plus jobs will be created with the new energy infrastructure, it would be good for those people who just got laid off, and does anyone have a problem with that?

the reason foreign oil went overseas in the first place is cause we had none left. the reason we need to start weening is cause of the peak oil concept. if the oil production stopped tomorrow we'd see whats about to happen in Nigeria when they lift oil subsidies.

@kpreston69 public ownership isn't illegal. but if you have a co op that's successful it's just gonna get bought out. you need the government to get involved. and the examples of communism aren't so good. capitalism is flexible and can conform to our needs. but we need to participate, poke holes in it, in order to protect ourselves from it.

Most of our oil is imported from OPEC countries. Canada is our biggest supplier- but I think what you stated was a lie.

He is already trying and succeeding in privatizing water and selling it back to Texas. He will succeed in his plan because he is patient and hammers at what blocks him until he cracks through.
