John Christopher Williams (born 24 April 1941) is Australian classical guitarist, and a long-term resident of the United Kingdom. In 1973, he shared a Grammy Award win in the 'Best Chamber Music Performance' category with Julian Bream for Julian and John (Works by Lawes, Carulli, Albéniz, Granados).
"The Entertainer" is a 1902 classic piano rag written by Scott Joplin..

A Scott Joplin classic from the movie The Entertainer with handsome Paul Newman in the cast I can hear but this tune is not very often played on guitar I think. A terrific guitar player anyway I can hear even if I can´t play guitar myself. Playlisted!

Hi Alan,I enjoyed the Joplin tracks ,but it seems like there's not a huge audience on here for them,,sadly !

I'm pleased you enjoyed John's version of this classic Joplin number,he's a very talented artist. I remember the actor J.Williams,he was a tall chap,with a moustache,always played a "gent" ! lol
