  • Is this about that park that was given as a gift, and is now being stolen by rich people to build a golf course? I just heard about that, its pretty sick.

  • Thank God the State of Michigan gave Benton Harbor EFM Joseph Harris. Thank God Whirlpool wants to stay here and bring life back to Benton Harbor. If left to its own devices it is obvious the struggle in Benton Harbor is of its own making. It is not the fault of "the man". PInkney is an idiot.

  • What was being protested was (and continues to be) the fact that Whirlpool corporation is stealing land from the majority Black township of Benton Harbor, Michigan; and controls the schools, courts, elected officials, fire department, and police instituions there. Whirlpool corporation is the de facto ENRON of Benton Harbor, Michigan. That's what was being protested. Moreover, Whirlpool corporation owes at least a half a million dollars in water revenues to the citizens of Benton Harbor.

  • So why were they protesting? Only thing I saw that day was good things. I saw a $1million dollar gift that was given to the Boys and Girls Club of Benton Harbor. I see jobs, I see positive things happening for the young people of Benton Harbor. So what would you people protest if Whirlpool picked up and Left Benton Harbor..
