Very awesome reel. Inspiring too, which is weird seeing as I am an animator, and never touch modelling or textuing. I guess its the feeling "awe" that this reel gave me, its the kind of feeling I want my work to give people one day. Anyway, awesome work :)

Angela, how long have you been studying as a 3D artist to get so amazingly good? You are quite an inspiration to a newbie like myself.

very nice, i thought the 1st model had great personality =) it is good enuf to be to be used in a bona fide animated movie
I started learning Blender after following your work on Sintel. I'm trying to get good enough so I will be able to follow your Blenderella DVD that I already bought. I just had a quick question, did you use SSS on the Isabella model?

@rudigerthethird Yes, I used SSS on Isabella's skin and eyes.

@xeonprofessional Thanks for your comment :) We used particles for hair in the film. More info at:

Great work. Are the mouth shapes blends or have you used a bone setup for the face?
EMJAYFAB 5 months ago
@EMJAYFAB : Facial expressions are blendshapes based, with the exception of rigged eyelids, eyeball direction, tongue, jaw open.
