  • Thank you lilnaospree for the information. I did eventually find a translation on Shira's website which gives a really nice version, which you might find interesting as there are apparently many different interpretations. I really love this song and enjoyed creating a choreography for it.

    Thanks again

  • Why do they insist on trying to dance to Egyptian music when they obviouly have no understanding or connection to it? Why don't they dance to Turkish Fasil music or Roman Havasi? That they at least know. The best dancers in Turkey are the Kocecks especially from Ankara. They dance their own music with feeling and understanding and they kick ass!

  • @TheMillsjan

Song is "Aiyela Tayha" by Egyptian singer Ahmed Adaweya. I don't know exact meaning of lyrics, but song is about lost daughter, and looking for his lost daughter or something.

  • Can anyone please tell me the title for this song and also the meaning of the lyrics.

    Forever grateful!

  • you are right SADIE is number 1 belly dancer !!!

  • Damn, she's beautiful but disappointing as a dancer. For drum dancing I still like Sadie.

  • cok güzel kadin..

  • ..ne güzelmis eskideen :))

  • I love Tanyeli--readily admit I've a crush on her since this afternoon. She's a gorgeously beautiful, intelligent, classy lady who seems really sweet too. I observed that in her BBC dance-instructing video where she was very personable, warm, and humorous, down- earth.

She really can dance too--I saw her meant-for-DVD performance wearing blue, and intuitively felt she danced a bit differently. Later found out she incorporate some western dance techniques too. Very modern, innovative.

  • tattoo is so gross
