Oh yeah, and no other scene in the movies is as sad as when his mother dies. Not in All dogs goto heaven, or bambi, or the lion king, or titanic, or anything. It's just how he niievely asks his mother won't she be with him on the journey, like he just don't understand, and when he's saying mother at the end, aw jeez now i'm welling up again, i'm a bloke, i'm 26, damb you movie (shakes fist!). And they stay in that moment for a while afterwards. It all just makes the ending so much better.

I still have this on VHS. It has that old Pizza Hut advertisement and everything. I also have it on DVD. Such an epic movie.
Gah this made me throw myself back into fond childhood memories. No movie today, even Pixar's best, could really give a nostalgic feel such as movies like this. Don't get me wrong, I love Pixar, but stuff like this, it really stays with you.
I wish they never made the sequals though, or the t.v. show. It just destroys the beauty this one created.
