While it may not be apparent, we are all having fun at these seminars. Thats why we keep coming back. Some of us (handlers) have a difficult time remembering under pressure what we are supposed to do, and Carl lets us have it...his methods quite effective for both the handlers and the dogs. We all kick back for a beer afterward...
The decoy is communicating okay with the dog, but doesn't extend that same courtesy to the handler. I really hate to see this old school, "jump in the pond and learn to swim" stuff. Training should be fun.
