The reason why Swastika is one of the important symbols for a ShaMAN is :
Swastika is called MAN in Japan and in Korea.
Chinese call it Wan.
So MAN = Swastika
Swastika is symbol for number 10 000 = 1 man
Mongols call swastika as :
1. Khas
2. Tumen nasan khee = 10 000 years old symbol.
Man is also Mongolian.
Tatar language : Tatar Helan (in Mongolian language = Hel or Helen)
Din = Faith, Religion
Din-che = Religious person
Dingez = Ocean = Tengis in Mongolian.
So TEN = Religion? :) Actually number Ten = 10 (fingers) stands for religion, 10 good deeds or 10 dark sins.
There is popular rumors that a popular Tatar shaman in 13th century gave title Ocean Ruler = Dingez Qaghan to Temuujin.
Since core word is Din = faith, Dingez Khaan must be "Faithful ruler"
I guess Din comes from Middle east like Allah-din?

Some dictionaries say
Dzin or Zin means to "Hold or Grab" in Tibetian.
Kyis or Gis means "to do"
Chen means "Great"
And I wonder if there is any Tibetian word Chen-gis or Dzin-gis ?
Both Chen and Dzin sometimes become "Chin" in Mongolian. Chin is easy to spell.
