The song is about hypocracy, specifically in "Kangaroo Courts", but also Government and Lawmakers in general. Now, Kangaroo Courts are widely hated these days, as you're guilty until proven innocent. They were far more popular in older days. Anyway, all the things that might have confounded your untrained mind, like "Eye-hole deep in muddy waters", "Got lemmon juice up in your eye", and "Weeping shades of indigo", are simply refering to the person's blind view on the matter.

There is meaning in the lyrics. Usually it's EXACTLY what they're saying. Like, they present it in a way that people think it's all artsy metaphors, but really they're just saying what they're saying. And they don't take themselves as seriously as a lot of the fans do. They just have fun doing what they do and people enjoy listening to their music. Go whine somewhere else.
